Introduction: Within the educational field, in the preparatory level, yoga plays an important role in the development of motor, respiratory and emotional skills contributing to the correct development of the infant.
Development: The benefits of yoga sessions in the strengthening of motor areas were investigated, emphasizing its usefulness at cognitive, motor, emotional and social levels, and it was also analyzed how proper breathing helps the body and mind in the generation of energy.
Practical applications or future lines of research: The lack of training on topics of great transcendence in the institutions of rural sectors contributes to the intellectual and physical deficit of infants, which is why a guide of exercises on children's yoga is proposed to thus counteract and prevent shortcomings that children may present in the future.
Conclusions: The teachers of the selected institutions of the Pílalo parish do not implement yoga in the classroom, which leads to difficulties in the channeling of emotions, observing children with states of anxiety and prone to suffer delays in the assimilation of knowledge.
