Introduction: The development of fine psychomotor skills plays a crucial role in the learning and growth of children, since it invites to reflect on the challenges linked to the identification of motor deficiencies in infants, considering that the lack of stimulation can cause permanent and irreversible consequences in the development of psychomotor and intellectual skills of children.
Development: Motor tests are diagnostic tools used to evaluate motor skills related to precise and mechanized movements of the body that allow identifying possible delays or difficulties in fine motor skills, such as manipulation of objects, hand-eye coordination, and through different activities or specific exercises, motor tests helped education professionals to determine the level of evolutionary development, which allowed providing early intervention to promote the integral development of individuals.
Conclusions: The importance of the use of motor tests for the diagnosis of fine psychomotor development is highlighted, in addition, the need for greater attention to this area of child development is identified, given that multiple potentially irreversible impacts were found due to the lack of activities and games in the formative and educational processes at an early age.
