Abstract

Work-related stress occurs when job demands exceed an individual's capacity, affecting their well-being and performance. This study aimed to evaluate stress levels among employees of Soluciones Integrales SORECH S.A. To this end, the stress test developed by Dr. Cristina Villalobos was administered to a sample of 20 employees. Stress levels and their dimensions were analyzed as low, medium, and high, along with their relationship to sociodemographic variables. The results showed a stress level of 20% low and 80% medium. The instrument showed good internal consistency (Cronbach's alpha = 0.930) and good sample acceptance (KMO = 0.721), confirming its reliability and dependability. Regarding the correlations of the sociodemographic variables, dimensions and stress with Chi square there is no correlation, except for 2 dimensions with the educational level in medium - strong. The study concludes that there is a significant presence of low to moderate stress among the workers evaluated, highlighting the need to implement preventative strategies. Among these, it is recommended to reduce the use of active breaks and relaxation therapies.
