The research implements hydrological, spatial, and hydraulic models in the upper, middle, and lower zones of the Puyo and Pindo Grande river basins, using freely accessible digital platforms. The micro-basin was characterized through physiographic and geomorphological parameters, and precipitation data from 1990 to 2020 were analyzed. Based on Intensity-Duration-Frequency (IDF) curves and design hyetographs, flood hydrographs were generated for return periods of 5, 25, 50, and 100 years. The 2D simulations provided spatial geometries and a dynamic analysis of flooding in critical runoff scenarios. Results indicated that for a 100-year return period, flood areas covered 40.56 ha in the upper zone, 10.54 ha in the middle zone, and 11.96 ha in the lower zone of the Puyo River. In the Pindo Grande River, flood areas were 20.32 ha, 8.11 ha, and 8.97 ha, respectively. The most affected land covers included populated areas, infrastructure, shrub vegetation, native forest, and bodies of water.
