This review focused on describing postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome in post-SARS-CoV-2 patients. For this purpose, a narrative literature review study was carried out, using bibliographic descriptors such as DeCS and MeSH in PubMed and Science Direct databases to obtain scientific articles from the period 2019-2022. In addition, we used Boléan connectors such as "OR-NOT-AND" and keywords in Spanish and English. Thirteen articles were identified, of which most of them report palpitations, lightheadedness, orthostatic headache, orthostatic tachycardia as the main symptoms, possibly associated with the alteration of autonomic fibers. The pathophysiological mechanism that produces this syndrome is not known exactly, but it is believed that it is triggered after a viral infection such as SARS-CoV-2. The treatment of choice for this condition in individuals who have overcome the infection by COVID-19 is the application of non-pharmacological measures whose objective is to improve the patient's symptomatology, however, if these measures are not sufficient, pharmacological therapy can be used where one of the drugs administered whose effect is very beneficial is ivabradine, although some therapies such as enhanced external counterpulsation and stellate ganglion blockade are currently under investigation.
