Abstract

Adolescent pregnancy constitutes a global challenge with profound implications for the physical, emotional, and socioeconomic health of young women and their families. The objective of this research is to explore the relationship between family dynamics and adolescent pregnancy, identifying trends, knowledge gaps, and priority areas for future research. Tools such as Bibliometrix and Biblioshiny were employed to analyze 140 articles published between 1976 and 2024. The results reveal a fluctuating evolution in scientific production, with significant peaks in 1996, 2005, and 2024, suggesting a growing interest in the topic. Terms such as "adolescent pregnancy" and "family support" stand out as key elements in the literature. Additionally, networks of collaboration among authors and institutions were identified, with the United States and Brazil being the main contributors. The research is grouped into four thematic areas: (1) adolescent pregnancy, (2) adolescent development, (3) family influence, and (4) comprehensive adolescent health. This study concludes that the family plays a crucial role in preventing and managing adolescent pregnancy, highlighting the importance of social support, effective communication, and comprehensive sexual education.
