Introduction: After a thorough analysis, deficiencies were identified in the use of technological tools by the educators of the "Charapotó N°75" School.
Objective: The objective of the study is based on designing a teacher training program to improve skills in the appropriation of Information Technologies
Methods: To carry out the research, a mixed approach was used where the interview and questionnaire were used as data collection techniques data, focused on a population of 22 teachers belonging to the institution. For the quantitative approach, the Iadov method was used and descriptive statistics were used for the analysis, while content analysis was carried out for qualitative data.
Conclusions: As results of the study, a low appropriation of computer media by educators could be observed. On the other hand, through the questionnaire applied after the program, a 77% improvement in the use of digital tools is highlighted, in addition to a general satisfaction rate of 93%. In conclusion, training programs for the appropriation of computer resources not only provide practical benefits to improve the competencies of educators, but also support the importance of continuous training for a more innovative education.
