Music Therapy in the Development of the Motor Coordination of Children in Initial Education

Introduction: This research refers to the difficulties that children present in relation to the development of motor coordination and the use of music therapy to strengthen this area, therefore.
Objective: To diagnose the development of motor coordination and the use of music therapy in the children of Initial Education of the “Victoria Vásconez Cuvi” Educational Unit of the Latacunga canton.
Methods: The qualitative approach and inductive was used, through bibliographic design, therefore, the techniques applied were the observation sheet directed at the children and the interview with the teacher who is in charge of the initial level.
Results: According to the interview applied, it was determined that the teacher is unaware of the usefulness of music therapy, which is why it was evident that she carries out activities without using this innovative resource such as music, which has not allowed the children to continue strengthening their motor coordination properly. On the other hand, it was evident that it uses strategies in which students are not motivated to participate in each activity that is proposed.
Conclusion: do not have a consistent development of motor coordination, it is evident that they still present certain complications when executing movements.
