Introduction: A fracture is a break in the continuity of bone tissue in every bone in the body. Fractures occur due to excessive stress that exceeds the strength of the bone. That is, it is the result of one or more excessive loads and occurs in milliseconds.
Development: The development addresses everything related to surgical management and its integral approach to fractures in long bones. In addition, it addresses the concepts of fractures, types of fractures, the causes of fractures with their categories, their surgical management. Reaching the conclusion. with future lines of research with respect to the subject matter addressed in the article.
Conclusions: Long bone fractures are very common in patients with multiple injuries, and pseudarthrosis of these fractures is a common problem in these patients. The initial method of fracture stabilization may affect healing, which favors early definitive fixation, which in turn affects the number of surgeries, length of hospital stay, and associated morbidity, as in temporomyelitis.
