Nursing Care Plan for the Effects of Pharmacological Treatment in Pulmonary Tuberculosis

Abstract: In this article, pulmonary tuberculosis is a public health problem that is generally detected at the first level of care to provide treatment in a timely manner.
Objective: Establish a nursing care plan on the adverse effects of pharmacological treatment of pulmonary tuberculosis using a patient's clinical data and thus guarantee quality and appropriate care.
Case description: The patient went to the emergency department with symptoms of poor general condition, more than five days of coughing up sputum, night sweats, and no obvious weight loss. The tuberculosis results were confirmed from the first visit, so treatment with HRZE was started; for which the patient was discharged and transferred to the health center to perform liver tests, which showed a 5% increase in liver enzymes, so the clinic did not have to decide to suspend treatment for a week and perform new Lab tests.
Conclussion: The patient's condition, living conditions and the role that the nursing professional must play will be observed to improve the patient's quality of life and to know the related factors that triggered the adverse reaction to the medication and to be able to provide timely treatment.
