Abstract. The objective of the research was to determine the relationship between the degree of dental pigmentation and the time of consumption of ferrous sulfate in children from 06 to 24 months who come to the Viñani Health Center in Tacna, Peru in 2021. Materials and Methods: This study was observational, relational, and cross-sectional, the type of sampling was non-probabilistic for convenience, including 173 children. For the evaluation of dental pigmentation, a record sheet was used based on the classification of Shourie and Koch modified by Gasparetto; and for the variable time of consumption of ferrous sulfate was verified by means of the patient’s clinical history. In relation to the hypothesis contrast, the Spearman correlation coefficient was used through the software SPSS version 24. Results: With a significance level of 5%, the p value was equal to 0,000 (<0.05); while the correlation coefficient Spearman’s Rho = 0.567. Conclusion: There is a statistically significant relationship between the degree of dental pigmentation and the time of consumption of ferrous sulfate in children from 06 to 24 months who come to the Viñani Health Center in Tacna.
