Transitional justice had understood as a mechanism for the victims of serious human rights violations in such a way that they can access the different mechanisms of this diverse justice which are the right to truth, administration of justice, reparation, and guarantees of non-repetition, and the methodology of this research is qualitative because it is of histological and exegetical order. The objective aims to analyze transitional justice in Ecuadorian and Colombian law using comparative law because there is no transitional justice in Ecuador itself. The approach is qualitative due to the comparative law analysis and the functioning of transitional justice in Colombia. It is relevant to highlight the application of this justice system in Ecuador because the issue of truth commissions is not something isolated in the Ecuadorian legal system, but has been created previously with the idea of offsetting and identifying violent acts against the rights of individuals, fully repairing the victim and accessing the truth.
