Conservative treatment for hemorrhage after gastric bypass gastric bypass case report

Hemorrhage is a rare complication in bariatric surgery, where its prevalence is up to 4% of procedures, and this will vary according to the different procedures performed, also the hemorrhage that occurs after bariatric surgery is classified as acute, early, late and chronic, it also depends on the site of bleeding because it can be intra-abdominal and intraluminal. A 29-year-old male patient with a history of type 2 diabetes mellitus and grade I obesity, who underwent gastric bypass surgery, presented with melena on several occasions after surgery, in addition to generalized asthenia, which led to a diagnosis of gastrointestinal bleeding. The appropriate treatment is surgery; however, it was decided to perform conservative treatment. This management is expectant since it helps to solve most of the cases as a whole, it also allows the patient to improve his clinical picture and reduces the possibility of warning signs, on this occasion it presented a total efficacy with an excellent recovery
